Job Summary

As a driver for US FOODS, you will have a significant responsibility within our team and serve as a key representative of our company. Your contributions will directly influence our customers through the timely delivery of our goods to their designated locations.

Roles and Duties:

• Safely operate trucks in order to reach customers and adhere to designated delivery schedules
• Use a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or manual labor to safely remove items from the trailer and store them in assigned customer locations
• Ensure the precision of the delivery by confirming it with customers and acquiring the appropriate signatures
• Manage the process of receiving payments from clients where necessary
• Carry out customer service duties with a high level of professionalism to improve the overall client satisfaction
• Conduct thorough checks on equipment before and after trips

Physical Requirements

• The job necessitates the repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of products weighing between 20 and over 80 pounds throughout the shift
• Proficiency in handling challenging weather conditions and making frequent stops (over 10 per shift) is essential

What You Bring to the Table

• Enroll in the FMCSA Clearinghouse for registration
• The minimum age requirement is 21 years
• A valid CDL Class A must be possessed, issued by the individual's state of legal residence, along with the required endorsements and compliance with DOT standards
• A minimum of six months of previous experience driving for commercial purposes is necessary, regardless of the specific industry.
• Alternatively, a minimum of three months of commercial driving experience within the food and beverage delivery sector is also acceptable.
• Prior experience behind the wheel for business-related transportation is a key prerequisite, be it in any commercial field.
• Alternatively, candidates must have at least three months of experience specifically in commercial driving within the food and beverage distribution sector.
• An essential requirement is a background in commercial driving, whether gained through general industry experience or with a focus on food and beverage delivery.
• Previous commercial driving experience, spanning at least six months, is mandatory, irrespective of the industry it was gained in.
• On the other hand, a minimum of three months of experience in commercial driving within the domain of food and beverage delivery is also a valid qualification.
• Candidates must have a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience, without limitation to any specific industry, or a minimum of three months of experience in commercial driving within food and beverage transport
• Operating a manual transmission is advantageous and may be necessary in certain areas
• Proficiency in English is essential to engage in conversations, interpret highway signs, comply with official requests, and input data on documents.
